Jill Hennessy
Her diverse heritage comprises Irish Italians, Swedish, Italians as well as French and Ukrainians. Jacqueline's sister is an actor also. Jill began to master a variety of languages, including Italian, French, Spanish, as she was growing to. She became interested in acting at the age of twelve. She began her acting career in Toronto when she played an assistant for David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers, along with her sister. After a course in improv taught by Deb Kimmet, who was a student at Second City, she began her acting career in Toronto. She was transferred back to New York two years later and signed a contract to as the an Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid in the hit show that has been running for a long time Law & Order. In addition, she appeared in movies like RoboCop 3 (1998), Ron Howard's The Paper (2000) and I Shot Andy Warhol 1996) during her three-year run. Through the following years, she landed roles in some forgettable movies. However, in 1999 she landed a starring position in the miniseries uremberg along with Alec Baldwin. In major productions, such as Autumn in New York and Exit Wounds followed. In 2001, she landed the role of the main character in the crime drama on NBC Crossing Jordan and in 2007 she took home a Gracie Allen award as "Outstanding Female Leading in the drama Series" in recognition of her performance on the show. She got married in 2000 to fellow actor Paolo Mastropietro. They have two children. She was honored in 2007 with the honour of being included at the Canadian Walk of Fame.
