Chef Antonia Lofaso's menu is an invitation to explore the depths of her interior world. Her food stirs curiosity. It was born after she stepped outside of her Long Island suburbs and entered the culturally rich landscape and rich culture of Los Angeles. Scopa Italian Roots, which Lofaso founded in 2013, received a great reception because it was in the spirit of her Italian roots. Lofaso is consistently praised by Scopa's patrons for serving meals that feel genuine and is incredibly satisfying. Lofaso learned from the best chefs in the world and absorbed their sophisticated techniques however she wasn't afraid of taking risks that were too high in order to follow her intuition. She swiftly rose up the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago and was able to revamp several high-profile kitchens in Los Angeles while working closely with celebrities of all kinds. The year 2011 was the year that Lofaso worked together with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi to open Black Market Liquor Bar in Studio City. Her home was in Black Market Liquor Bar and her business alliances. This collaboration would foster the creative freedom Lofaso was looking for. Black Market does not have a single direction, and this is its intention. It can start with potato chips dill as well as shishito chilies. Then, proceed to Korean Wings and meatballs.
